By Henry Ubus.
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Udu Local Government Chapter, Comrade Mathew Aghoghophia Emuejevwe, has applauded the Executive Chairman of Udu Local Government Council, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode JP FCIA, for his proactive measures that have restored sanity and free movement at the ever-busy ECN/Udu Road by Ubogo Market.
Motorists and pedestrians have continued to bask in the euphoria of unhindered movement, following the clearing of obstructions and enforcement of traffic orderliness in the area an axis notorious for persistent gridlock.
Speaking on the development, Comrade Emuejevwe noted that for any government policy to succeed, there must be initial discomfort, but the eventual benefits far outweigh the pains. He expressed delight at the visible transformation brought about by the council chairman’s decisive actions.
“I drove through the ever lock-jammed Ubogo Market without any traffic jam. It was a smooth ride. All thanks to the Unifier of Udu, Hon. Chief Vincent Oyibode,” he said.
The NULGE Chairman commended Oyibode for prioritizing the welfare of road users and ensuring that critical intersections within Udu become more accessible, thereby promoting safety, ease of movement, and economic activities.
He urged residents and traders to support the ongoing reforms by adhering to traffic and environmental regulations, stressing that sustainable development requires collective responsibility.
